AI Makers
Custom AI apps with WhatsApp built in. You own the code.
Overview
AI Makers is my custom AI software studio. The legal entity is AI Makers LLC, a single-member limited liability company registered in New Mexico, USA. I founded it in 2024. I work fully remote with companies of 10 to 500 people around the world, and every client works with me directly: no sales team, no account managers, no hand-offs to juniors. What I build My main product is a custom AI app. It is a private, AI-powered web app built around the way your business already works, with WhatsApp built in so your team and your customers can use it from the channel they already live in. It runs on your own server, not on my platform. You own the code from day one. I quote a fixed price after a short scoping call, and most apps are live in production in 6 to 10 weeks, with a demo every week along the way so there is never a silent build. A typical app starts as a private AI workspace for your team, connected to the tools you already run: WhatsApp, email, calendar, spreadsheets, your CRM, your accounting package, your bank feeds. From there it grows sprint by sprint into dashboards, client portals, scheduled jobs and the automations that take the busywork off your people. Each step is scoped and quoted before it is built. The second thing I build is AI employees: custom AI agents that each do one named job inside your business. The roles companies ask for most are a receptionist that answers every call and enquiry and books the job, a sales follow-up agent that replies to leads in seconds and writes the notes into the CRM, a support desk that resolves routine tickets from your own documentation, a bookkeeper's assistant that reads invoices and flags what does not reconcile, an operations coordinator, and a research and reporting agent. Each one has a written brief, clear escalation rules and a person to hand off to. You own the agent outright. There are no per-seat or per-message fees, because it is not rented from a platform. A single-role AI employee is typically live in 2 to 6 weeks. The third is AI training for teams. I don't teach slides. On day one every trainee signs in to a working business app, and from day two I teach the team to extend it themselves with AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, working from the terminal: a new automation, a new view, a new integration. Programs run remotely, for a whole team or per employee. How I work Every project follows the same path. First a free 30-minute call where I map your tools, your workflow and the specific job the AI needs to do. You get a one-page scope and a fixed price. Then the build, with a demo every Friday. Then deployment on your infrastructure, connected to your real tools and channels. After launch you can keep adding agents, integrations and automations as the business changes. Your data stays in your infrastructure. I don't train models on client data, and because the code is yours there is no vendor lock-in: you can move providers or hand the system to another developer at any time. I work with the leading model providers, including Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and OpenAI, and pick the model per job rather than tying you to one. Who I build for My clients are companies of 10 to 500 people: professional-services firms, e-commerce and D2C brands, real-estate teams, trades and home-services businesses, hospitality and tourism operators, healthcare providers, and operations-heavy businesses such as logistics, distribution and energy. The common thread is a business where AI can move the numbers but which doesn't want to hire and run its own in-house AI team. Past work shown on aimakers.co includes a bank-reconciliation system and mobile and web apps for Dynaf, a power-generation company; a warehouse-management system for Botica di Servicio, a pharmacy operating across three islands; an AI assistant and automation suite for C3, a critical-communications company; and a booking platform with a customer chatbot for Curaçao Tours. Background I have spent 18 years taking ideas from concept to production. I opened Print3D Matter, a 3D-printing shop in Amsterdam, in 2014, and in 2015 founded Local Makers, an industrial product-design studio that took products from sketch to manufacture. Since then I have moved from physical products to software and AI. The process is the same: understand the problem, design the solution, prototype fast, and ship.
